downstream injector

I have been having trouble for the past few months with my down stream injector, not working, I used the same injector for 5 years w/ 150' of hose. I just recently started having problems with it working, so I bought a new injector, still the same problem. I noticed it after I bought new hoses, but I gauged them and they are good, fixed any and all leaks, just replaced trigger and lance, rebuilt the unloader, new filter. I can pull the high pressure tip out and it works, so i don't think it's the injector. Any help would be great. thanks philip

If its working under high pressure I'll give you double your money for it.

Really having problem understanding your Q?,I didn't finish school so sometimes I need more drawings to answer a Q?.

Sometimes a new injectors is installed backwards as the season they don't work.Somestimes trash will get in the spring in the injector not letting it work. And sometimes the tip on the lance that makes the injector work isn't big enough.

Hmmhhhhh?

Assuming that the injector is the same size orfice, not just the same style.

Put a gauge between unloader & injector to see what pressure is going in to the injector.

Could be hose crimped too tight reducing outlet size creating back pressure in excess of injectors operating pressure.......

Let me clear it up for you. I was refering to my 40deg quick connect tip on the end of my wand as my high pressure tip. when I pull it out there is no pressure, then the injector will work. also I have already gauged the crimps, and that is not it. the injector is flowing the right direction. I will check the pressure today, and see. you would not happen to know what the pressure should be. thanks for any and all help.

Downstream chemical injector info

The pressure that an injector siphons at varies with the make
and model of the injector, the Robokim adjustable injectors
from General Pump typically siphon at pressures below
250 PSI.

RE: Robokim Injector Series .. From General Pump:
"Be sure that this accessory as well as all other
components exceeds the system’s maximum pressure
rating. The system’s output flow must be within the
volume specification of this chemical injector for proper
system operation and acceptable back pressure.
Refer to the arrow on the injector valve body for proper
flow direction. Install the injector in the system
downstream of the regulator unloader which is downstream
of the pump. Use the 3/8" male inlet/outlet
threads for mounting. Attach a piece of 516" ID tubing
to the chemical inlet hose barb. Be sure that the tubing
you select is compatible with the chemicals you will be
using. Be sure to install an appropriate filter on the
tubing. A spray tip or nozzle must be selected to produce
125 PSI or less at system’s output volume.
A double
lance, twin nozzle holder, or adjustable nozzle may be
used for easy switching from high to low pressure.
These injectors will draw your chemical into the water
stream at 125 PSI
and 2.1 to 10.8 GPM (through your
low pressure spray tip) and will not draw chemical
above 250 PSI (through your high pressure spray tip).
The amount of chemical being drawn in is controlled
with the adjustment knob."

Thats strange..hummm if you replaced the black tip as in a new one make sure its the right degree. They come in different degrees and spray widths. The way it sounds you may have to go to a bigger degree for your downstreamer to work. You have done a good job in checking things out,try changing to a different gun if you haven't already.
