Most of the time it is the guys getting into pissing contests, not the girls! They fight for a few minutes, and next thing you know they're playing barbies again. Guys seem to let it escalate out of control and wind up in prison.

No I did not. Back then the only computer was at IBM and a powerwashing rig was something new and very expensive. My first was..I got a contract to paint a very old farm barn and the only way to remove the 3000+ coats of paint (and make a profit) was to powerwash it. I powerwashed this thing every day for a week and every day there was more paint to be removed. One thing I learned about PW and removing paint is that there is no better place to remove old paint than on an old barn and thats just about the only place where I would ever used it this way.
For those out there with less experience, you see, water gets behind the edge of the paint and the next day when things dry up and you think you have saved all this time by PW the surface you will find yourself with big paint problems and your new PW can't help you, it must be done by the good old hand! Some 30+ years later the only "power" I use from my power washer is to get the bleach way up there where I want to or just to clean wood on decks, foundations, walks etc.

I hope that will help you some.

If it were me, I'd ask wood care professionals on the board rather than a book written for homeowners. Most wood care professionals will agree that bleach and wood are not a good mix...bleach damages the wood.

Anyone ever check out the Home Depot demonstrations of pressure washing? Who teaches those things anyway? Why not ask your questions there... ha ha ha

And those colored tips you've been talking about... them be all the same, yous just pick the color that you like best. [whatup] We all encourage smokin' when on the job, leave your butts behind too, someone will pick 'em up.

legwork is good but asking questions is part of the legwork my friend. I'm just starting out and have done tons of legwork and stumbled on this forum and must admit that folks here are really great! I'm a professional musician and not a pro pw...yet! haha. i'm happy to lend pro music advice and one day will be happy to share my pro tips in pw'ing. just my 2 cents.
