Can one of the vets give me any tips on cleaning driveways. I just purchased a surface cleaner and I am trying to figure out the best technique for cleaning..

1. I am wondering if any pwers start cleaning the driveways "dry" or do you presoak then run the surface cleaner.

2.Do you suggest cleaning the full length of the driveway or go from right to left of the driveway.

3. Can you clean the driveway with hot water, no chems, if it is just dirty with red clay and some mold.

Any help is greatly appreciate.

Most of the driveways I clean here in Florida have mold and dirt on them, no red clay here. If they are really dirty I will pre soak and than use the surface cleaner. Most of the time I like to clean lenth wise with my 28" cleaner.Yes you can clean mold and dirt with hot water, clay Iam not sure. Mike B :)

Same thing here...If they're pretty bad, I pre-soak with my housewash mix...It helps loosen the dirt and mold, and often I don't have to re-coat with chlorine to get rid of tannin stains. I don't use hot water at all, except when I'm trying to get out oil stains. Cold water works fine. May take slightly longer, but with the heat and humidity what it is here already, I don't like creating more heat and humidity if I don't have to. However, if you don't mind running hot, it will work better. Just be careful of your hoses on grass or in the landscaping, so you don't burn the grass/plants.

Pre-soaking with water won't do much, so if you're not going to apply any chems before, you can just start dry.

Whether you clean lengthwise or sideways doesn't matter, though it's probably faster to go lengthwise.
