How many of you work alone?? I am currently working alone, but not for long. I hate it! Not only is it boring, but at least when I have someone else there, I can take a phone call or whatever and still be getting something done. Plus, the whole safety aspect of having someone else there........

I would say on average at least last year 50% of the time I was working alone. I have one guy that puts in about 3 days a week and the other guy on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays.

This year I have two complete setups...so what does that mean...Probably be on my own again because my other guys will be taking out the van where I'll be taking out the Truck and trailer...And at times will all meet on the same job.

It seems that it is hard to break away from being out there on your own no matter what you do. OF course doing estimates on your own to me is where its at....and commercial flat work on my own.. :)

I'm working alone. Hope to hire a high school kid and teach him some things. But working alone I am not responsible to anyone but myself. Still thinking over the hiring of a helper.

Mike, currently use 1 1/2 part time helpers. Last summer used a student; other than that was solo. Mainly I clean brick and there is an extraordinary level of liability involved with using acid (two weeks ago one of my helpers spilled some on a concrete drive, which will cost me $850). Also quality is an issue, meaning it will be difficult for me to have a person go out on his own.

This is a major reason I am looking at house washing, etc.
