For Sale

I have a twoton Chevy truck for sale. It is an 89 and has chrome 22.5" wheels, tires that probably have a good 80,000 miles left in them. Four protech aluminum tool boxes, a brand new engine with 5000 miles on it. Not a rebuilt, and not a target motor. It was installed by a GM mechanic and literally everything forward of the Radiator is new. I also have the reciepts. It is a new GM 350 with an allison automatic behind it. It also has two 325 gallon water tanks and an RK-21 that is about 16 months old and has App 1000 hours on it. there is a 3 @2000 cold water washer and three hose reels. One feed line and two pressure reels. It is in really good shape.

I want to sell it because I got a contract yesterday that this truck will not be practical for and so I want to sell it and get two trucks that are more practical for the type of work. I would like to get $100,000 for the whole kit and kaboodle but will happily take $11,000.

Scott,

Go take a picture of that Monster Truck so they can see it, then perhaps an offer will come your way.

I can attest to this truck being all he says and more, well worth the money.

Okay, I have to change the rig that is for sale. My Ford with the trailer is now for sale. I will sell it for whatever the insurance doesn't pay. It seems that an ambulance pulled infront of me on the way to my first job this morning. The truck is about 3 and a half feet shorter than is was about 30 seconds before. Thankfully no one seemed to be seriously hurt. Pretty amazing since the airbags in my truck did not go off and I hit the ambulance at about 30-40 MPH. The ambulance got the ticket for failure to yield. I will post pictures as soon as I get them developed

Scott, sorry to hear about the accident. Glad to know no one was hurt, probabaly just a little sore in the morning. It's bad they hit your primary truck, good thing you had a backup. Hope it didn't mess up any equipment.

Take care,

Don't feel too bad Scott, 3 - 4 weeks ago we went to buy/look at some equipment (2 hours away) and when we were 10 mins from the guys house a lady in a 84 thunderbird tried to beat the light. We T boned her in the right front of her car with about 4,000 lbs in tow. Spun here like a top needless to say. Our 99' Dodge Ram with only 13,000 miles was damaged back to the doors. Our airbags failed to deploy also and we hit at 30-35 mph. We were a little stiff afterward but everyone came out okay...

Sorry to hear of your misfortune... but I know the feeling. Truck is still in the shop.

Best Regards,

Greg

Scott and Greg,

You guys sure your not related? Both new vehicles, both end up smashing them almost the same way

Glad to hear neither of you got hurt serious.

Makes me wonder if air bags in pickup trucks truly work? And to think I was going to have mine disconnected legally do to my allergies to what is in them.

At 30-40 mph, just be glad the airbags didn't employ. Not really fast enough to need them when you hit something smaller than you. I am no expert by any means, but i do have experience in the airbag thing, i got slugged by one a few years ago and i can promise you, the airbag hurts worse than the wreck at that speed. I have been hit harder i am sure, but in those days, i didn't remember much anyway. Sorry to hear about it Scott, glad you and crew are ok.

About 6 months ago, a guy driving a state pick up, pulled out in front of me. I hit him with my 2000 dodge 2500 ram van at @40 mph, t-boned him in the side. I had less than 6000 miles on it and the damage was over $6000.00. My air bags didn't deploy either, kinda glad they didn't. We must have some sort of computer virus we're spreading to each other, I guess I started it, hehehe. Glad nobody's been seriously hurt.

After seeing Jim & Shirley's wreck mine looks like a ding. I need to get a digital camera and access to the truck to get a picture.
