Gas Station Cleaning

Do any of you guys clean gas stations, the concrete. Is it possible to do this with a cold water pressure washer? get the gas stains and stuff up? also, i am just getting into this business and today i called many places to try to get work, i called most of the carlots and no luck. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get started to get my name out there, as in get some steady work. certain places etc. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

in my area, the first thing gas station owners ask is; do you use hot water. I have used cold water and alot of chemicals to get up grease, gum is the problem with cold water washer. cold water will take much more time on the grease and gum and usualy doesn't get all the gum. the big concern with gas stations is reclaiming the wash water, it is usually late night after hours work, but all it takes is for the wrong person to see you. this happened to a friend of mine recently, the guy told him he could be fined up to 10K for letting the oily water run down the drain.

Being new in this businessI would leave the gas stations alone untill you get WET BEHIND THE EARS........... Dont try to do anything you really dont know what you are doing...............sure you can get info. here but if you want to be in business long.....stcik to residential work untill you get some exp.

Cold water would not be effective cleaning gas stations. Hot water, as well as a water reclamation system, and experience are a must.

Not to avoid the question, but honestly, gas station concrete cleaning is not a job for somebody starting out. Sorry to have to tell you that.

Due to many factors involved, gas stations are not for the beginner. Hot water, a surface cleaner and some high quality chemicals are on the top of the list followed by the ability to recover water in one way or another.
As simple as it looks, this is a specialized market.

First order of business is to get insurance and do many jobs for friends and family to gain experience.
