Getting Oil off of concrete

i may have a job coming up at a gas station and wanted to know the best chemical to get oil and gas off of concrete and is any of them sold in lowes or home depot

Good greif Charlie Brown, Home depot and Lowes are not the place to buy chemicals or pressure washer anything. There line is geared towards a home owners who are looking to get home owner results. Find a good commercial line. Your results matched with a little knowledge will be much better then Home Depot/Lowes stuff. Do you have water recovery?

hate to sound stupid but whats water recovery. Im still learning this business and have did about 4 driveways/walkways so far

Any time you wash something where your wastewater contains oil, grease, other contaminates or even your own chemicals you are required by law to recover that water and dispose of it according to you local EPA guidelines. Gas stations are a big target and under a watchful eye for soil contaminates. There is also a growing need for recovery when washing trucks, it is usually required by most trucking companies.

Oh boy...... gas stations are NOT a good place to start if you don't know exactly what you're doing. The concrete is always very dirty, requireing quality chems (read...not from retail store), hot water, surface cleaner, and proper handling of the waste water generated. The dirty water will be quite a witches brew of nastiness.

Do alot of homework before proceeding.

How about the EPA. Look under waste water. Then decide if you can handle the environmental part first.

Listen to these guys, seasoned vets here just trying to help you. Sunbritesupply has very good chems, plus some water recovery equipment also. Do your home work about water recovery regarding, oil, grease plus chemicals. If you do not know what water recovery is than I am sure you do not have the equipment either, and the equipment is pretty pricey also. Also a good hot diesel burner machine you might be lacking too.
