Guys I dont know if you are having this problem or not but Im having trouble getting folks to let go of those dollars! Its happening on the residential end mostly. Many people have a friend with an electric pressure washer from a catalog that they get to wash their house or they bleach it themselves and scrub it. My neighbor 2 houses from me was outside doing hers in our fairly nice neighborhood while my rig was parked outside.Maybe Im in the wrong area or something, I dont know. Can you guys give me some opinions on this? Im thinking about gearing my biz towards commercial stuff!

My neighbors don't want the service - or don't want to pay the price.
Remember - this is a numbers game! Go out and talk to 1,000 people you MIGHT get 3% of them that need your services. Make a route and do it every month. Talk to the same (decision maker) people every month! Let them know that you are still available.
Another thing - folks don't like to change routines! You got to make them think that you are the answer!
I know a guy who has been 1/3 through washing a newer single wide trailer home for the past 2-3 months! and he knows I got a brand new pressure washing machine ( a big one)! I told him I would do the rest for $30.00 and he laughs and says he'll do it!
...figure that one out!

Hey,
I provide services for those that can't do it themselves and those that don't want to do it themselves. Don't get discouraged, and I wouldn't adjust prices. Next month you'll probably have more than you can do. There will always be "do it yourselfer's".

Kevin, The next time you aproach a customer have your equipment with you, If you havent already start your-self a portfollio of some of your work, before & after pictures A PITCURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS!!! SORRY-GOT AHEAD OF MY-SELF....Offer the customer a free demonstration just a small area of concrete, vinyle,or brick cleaning you might be suprised at the results $$$$$$ It was my 4TH year in the buisness before my neighbors let me clean any of their homes...
