GMC Pick Up Transmission

Well...it was bound to happen I guess. I have been fortunate this year to have not had any problems with vehicles and or my rig. All in all preventative maintenance kept me out of the garage for many years.

My GMC, which I have around 156k, looks to be going into the transmission shop for a full replace. Had it in yesterday cause things just didn't feel right when I drove it the other night to one of my wash jobs and the tech(s) confirmed what I suspected. The darn thing is just worn out and needs a new one which I am cool with BUT I have been saving for a new rig and reclaim unit and this expense will set me back a month on my plans!

Great deals are available on the new 2011 Chevy trucks, 0% interest for 60 months. Go Duramax with the Allison transmission, and you'll never regret it. Good for 500,000 miles, easy.

I hear ya Jim. Boy I wish I could honestly look at some new trucks but this year has been nothing but a "rebuilding" year for me.

If anything I will explore a used truck with a much higher load capacity. I already have my eye on a new trailer. Adding a rig and a reclaim will be about as far as I can possibly go.

All in all I think we did well this year in populating our portfolio. . . .

:( Sorry to hear that, 'Los. It always something in business.

Good thing we're all getting rich billing $100/hr

Thanks bro...yea...well...cost of doing business. Haven't had hardly any set backs this year...it's been full speed ahead for me....maybe the transmission situation is God's way of throwing a "speed bump" in front of me. My job is to listen to Him!!

God Bless

Unfortunately Carlos I have found it unproductive to list our clientele. Recently learned that certain local "competitors" were accessing my PhotoBucket account, then targeting the recent sites and PM's of the site surveys I had recently posted. PhotoBucket Pro provides my traffic and other valuable information of how is accessing my companies albums.

So now I am forced to password protect my new uploads, deliberately misname the albums so these lowlife's can no longer attack the contracts I am bidding on.

It's a sad day when competitors feel they need to do this. I post "some" of my clients on my web page meaning these are clients that I don't mind revealing. I have other clients that I just don't reveal. I have a VERY STRONG bond with my clients and do KNOW that they would call me in a split second to advise me if any pressure washing company would try to shed doubt about my services.

Point well taken James

Ive considered going to enclosed truck been looking at GMC W4500 ISUZU NPR box truck something of that nature seems easier to deal with no unloading and reloading equipment and it gives me lots of space for advertising i really want a diesel motor any input just looking at pros and cons [wsmile]

NPR's are great for turning radius. They can turn on a dime and I never had a truck turn so tight. The drawback is if you get into Garage Cleaning. There to high. That aside there a decent truck with mostly good ratings.
