Help me out!!!!! Here`s the sign....about twenty foot
tall sign looks like a "presidental medal" with image
of one of the Us presidents face centered in the middle.Set in a round concrete base.
President of the sign company wants it cleaned. Well, it was already cleaned by the installers....but he said they cleaned with a citrus cleaner and it mixed with adhesive used in putting the sign up. The problem--the base is dotted with several spots of adhesive(+citrus) cleaner looks like it is in the concrete, small blotches of it on the bottom of the sign also. Powerwashing won`t get it. Any idea on what might help. Want the $$$ but don`t want to screw the sign up!!! Help!

tell me more about it. Is it Pure Plastic, or does it have vinyl letters? How much of it is metal? There are some ways around it and a lot of it has to do with Elbow Grease.

There is a product out there that will do the job. It is used for Graffiti removal. I used it today to remove old dried masking tape from a door. It took it off right away. The product is called Tagaway. Gets ink, paint, Glue, Magic Marker, and whatever else you may need to remove off (without dammaging the base paint). Email me if you want more info.

Scott, It is all metal sign set in a concrete base.
Metal looks like material they make presidental medal
out of== very shiny. Reminds me of a 99.99silver ingot. Elbow grease may work but i doubt it on the concrete base. thanks

I would try a soda blaster. If you do not have one you may be able to rent a unit from a contractor supply yard in your area.

I am confused why there s some much glue or whatever on the sign. I might be a little slow though. Have you tried Brake cleaner. It might remove the stuff off and clean it up pretty well. Do a test patch first though.
