I have a 16,138 sf. building. It is a white smooth surface brick. It has mold/mildew along with the usual black atmospheric grime. I called Died. Tech. and the product they recommended is about $14 per gallon. I figured it to take about $500 worth of this chemical. Is there an alternative that I can choose??? The $500 is not a problem with me, I just didn't want the property owner to flip out. Any suggestions???

Steve,
Looks like you're figuring on a coverage of @ 460 sq. ft. per gallon? That sounds like you might be stretching it a little. I have yet to get the manufacturer recommended coverage on any chemical. I would probably stick with there chem though as they have the experience with masonry cleaning. One other company comes to mind if you would like some more opinions: Abrasive Systems in Harrisburg, PA 1-800-288-7800 I haven't ran in to a white brick as you are describing, but I have heard if you use the wrond chem. It could turn the brick a different shade. I remember a post a while back where someone posted a couple of web sites for masonry cleaning, maybe you can search up some more info there. Wish I could help you more.
