Charlie,
I think you will find that a machine that operates around 5 gpm @ 3000 psi will serve you well. I would stay away from anything less than 4 gpm as flow rate is more important than pressure. If you will be doing alot of flatwork get a surface cleaner. There are advantages to buying locally in respect to service and support but you'll probably end up paying more up front. Check the web for distributors also.

You will find a better deal on-line than local. Mainly because ecommerce business owners sell more units and have less overhead. You can take advantage of this situation and save alot of money. You will find the same equipment online that your local distributor is selling. Mark has the most competitive prices I have seen on the net. Give him a call and see what he has to offer, there will be no comparison with his prices and the local guy's prices, and you will be supporting a supporter.
