I thought I would start a thread on turbo nozzels and how people use them.

Have any interesting stories or helpful hints that you have found with a turbo nozzle?

I used to use my turbo on drives and brick, but found it was too easy to damage the surface. I now use it almost exclusively to clean stepping stones! You know, the round ones you find embedded in the grass. By working at the proper height and angle, it is possible to clean them without spraying mud everywhere.

I've actually used a turbo on wood lattace before. I ran it off my cat machine. It's high volume but low pressure. It seemed to do a better and faster job then a spray tip. It did no damage to the wood.

I cleaned a gas station tonight and the turbo nozzle did the best job on gum. My machine was set at 305 degrees. The surface cleaner cleaned the gum... that's it. A spray tip got the gum up but took longer. With the turbo nozzle, I just had to hit the gum for a second and it was gone.

I used mine tuesday for the first time in over a year because of this thread,I knew I had it but just didn't use it anymore. It still worked like it did,got in there and got the job done,I degreased a truck frame and motor. It still sounded like a buzz saw ripping things apart :D and slin'ing grease everywhere.

Like all nozzels, there is a time and a place for most of them,I even used the turbo on wood ,care should be taken when working with soft wood.

Its a wonder yours didn't lockup useing that high of heat,is it made to handle 305 degree water?.Mines several years old,I may need to update the turbo.305 degree hotwater and a turbo would make degreaseing a truck frame like spreading butter on a corncob.

I used my turbo the other day to get some serious old pine tar off some walkways....The surface cleaner wouldn't touch it (even if it were a waterjet....). Hot water didn't make a difference. The turbo did a nice job.

Concrete just washed my driveway a few days ago, then used it on the front of my house for spiderwebs up high. Seems to get the job done on them faster than a flat fan. Always use care when doing anything.

I have a giant turbo its always there when I need it but not much. I have had it for ge-zzz 11 years. Bought it for 150.00 back then and it works like new still.

Wanna get the neighbors pissed off? Wash an aluminum awning with one

i have truck's that work in a sand pit. Every time it rain's i get cement. I use the terbo to knock it off the truck's frame's.
I also use it to knock off paint for paint prep.
Also good for less KICK-BACK of water.

I use it to strip paint off of old historic homes, it works well by changing the distance from the wood to keep from damaging the surface. I have also used it to remove paint off of a driveway where the owner put it out with the trash and the garbage men spilled it. that happened twice this year!

The flow won't change because the water is hot...the pump is putting out whatever it is putting out...If it is 5 gpm, it is 5 gpm coming out of the nozzle, whether it is 305 degrees or 80 degrees. I can't imagine working with that much heat. I don't even like working with 180 degree water, but it is sometimes a necessity.

Here is my crew using 4.5 rotary tips to remove paint from a building. We were running about 3000 psi at around 200 degrees.

We also use these nozzles in kitchen exhaust systems and on heavy machinery.

This is an example of some of the heavy machinery that we clean.

3. To remove paint from bridges
4. to remvoe cob webs from the inside of a tunnel
5. to fight off a dog that was attackign me. (I won)
6. To remove mud dobber nests
7. To clean Slate in a road way
8. To remove Graffiti
9. As a paper weight.
