How effective are the Yellow Pages

Hello Everyone,

Can some of you give me an idea if the cost of the Yellow pages is worth it - or is it better to use flyers and the newspaper as advertising methonds.

Hello GA Pro Wash,

This links should take you to one of our YP ads. When you get there enter Cleaning Systems Pressure Chemical.

http://champaign.champaignyp.com/PageBossPage.html

If they work when you find my ad click on it and you should be moved to my web site.

I think Yellow Pages for my area anyway are the Best Bang for the Buck! With that said, I'm in a rural area. I also do fliers, etc.

I think my ad was 2,000 for the year

with that ad it covers several counties

I have landed 3 Big jobs this summer (so-far) [ several small jobs ] from 1,500.00 and the highest came in around 10,000.00 <<<<<<<< So as you can tell it paid for it's self and then some.

PS: This is the second year for my ad ..................... THe first year was not as good
Next year I am not going to advertise. I have more work then I care to have. And it resulted from the yellow pages. ( repeat business ).

IT is totally awesome.............. I could have at least 8 guys working for me and 3 jobs going at the same time. But life is too stressfull as it is............ So I will maintain a simple life and stick to 1-2 guys and work @ one job @ a time.

Hi Richard :)

Like the company name! We have yellow page ads in two different counties and they've worked well for us.

Something to keep in mind about this method of advertising - and we have made this mistake - they are not inexpensive so hey, they'll let you make payments. We erred last year by not paying the full ad off at the time we got the job that "paid for the ad" Although we did generate enough money to justify it, that monthly payment became a burden during slower months and it felt like it was an expense that was not returning on the investment. Keep your ad within your budget - if you have to be a small fry the first year, so be it. It's a costly form of advertising that does work as long as you can justify the expense.
