I don't do dishes because I have a dishwasher. I don't do windows because they won't fit in the dishwasher.

To hold the screen, get a 2-3" spring clamp and some heavy ga. copper wire to make hook big enough to hook on a ladder rung for the clamp. Use it to hold the screen while you wash the window and avoid running up and down!

Hey guys im new but doing well with the windows, here goes.
Screens get a plastic clip like the ones in the check out line at home deopt tie a string to it and hang screen off of top of ladder while washing. and as for the streaks squeegeeing, while pulling down angle the blade towards the dry pass and overlap by an inch or two. if you pull with a decent speed the watter flows up the blade and away from the dry area.
Master this move and you doen't have to wipe your blade, just watch your drips when going for the next pull.

If you're having problems with cleaning windows with a squeege, it might very well be your equipment. For very large windows which are easier done with pole work I have found that using a 24" Sorbo squeege works the best. The 30" sometimes has problems, and anything under 24" is a waste of time. But Sorbo, IMO, is only good for their larger squeeges, the smaller ones are terrible, so I use ettore with brass channels. In addition, the ettore porcupine applicator works very well for NON TINTED glass (don't use it on anything else).

Also, don't use any cleaners that contain ammonia or petrolum products. Have fun washin windows

Screens?

Take the screen off and toss it to the ground. Collect them all up, lean them against the garage and power wash and treat them with Winsol Screen Cleaner & Sealant. Let them dry and replace them. I almost never put a dirty screen back over a clean window unless a customer insists.

Good advice.

As you gain more experience learn the "swirl." the blade only touches the glass one time and no streaking. Plus, it cuts the cleaning time in 1/3.

We do 90% window cleaning and 10% power washing I been reading the boards for a few years and I have learn a lot from all of you.
