Just curious on how much people on this site is paying for SH. My chemical supplyer keeps raising the prices telling me that chlorine prices keep going up. I am currently paying $3.65 a gallon.

Cat,Thats very expensive, I searched for a few weeks to find 12.5% bleach, after I ran out of the bleach that came with the rig I purchased, and finally found a good deal.I purchased a 55gal. drum for 82.00 thats about 1.49 a gal. I was able to pick it up so no shipping. That helped also was made the day I ordered so it was fresh at 15%.There were a few other places that were about 45min to 1hr away there prices were 2.00 and 1.89 per gal that sounds very expensive to me.

Cat, that's about right for our area if you aren't buying in bulk. I pay $130 for a drum or $16.50 for a five gallon container.

We set up an account at one of our local pool supply places and pay $2.40/gal for 4 or more cases at a time. If I wanted to buy an entire pallet of 48 cases, we could get it for $1.90/gal. We are always assured of fresh material, as they get it in 2X a week.

I was getting 2.5gal jugs filled at my pool place paying a arm and a leg like $18 for about 10gals, then i got my rig with my 65gal chlorine tank, and that wasn't an option. ask where they get theirs and go there, i did. now i pay .99 Gal at a bulk distribution pool supply warehouse.

Is there another name for 12% bleach? I went to Leslies Pool Supply, and the people there had no idea... There website is www.lesliespool.com . Maybe someone can have a gander at their site for me and let me know if they see anything that qualifies as 12%? Still using the cheapo 4% by the gallon and would love to get more bang for the buck! Lots of mossy, moldy flatwork out here and really hoping to speed things up! Thanks!
