Hey there Easterners...

How much snow did you get? We got a couple inches here. We were supposed to get 4-6 inches but the storm moved through pretty fast.

We were supposed to get 2-5 inches, but actually got more like 2-5 milimeters! Just as well, with they way people around here drive on dry pavement!

You poor souls you, out here in SUNNY WARM So. CA. we put our Air Conditioneer on.

Ahhhhhhhh the life of a hard working pressure washer.

Ok so I don't get cabin fever as you people do, just ship your snow out here as it is TO HOT for me today.

Oh and the winds picked up again, we sure don't need any more Santa Ana's and the fires that follow.

Can handle the earthquakes, tree huggers, they should have just cut the darn tree down with him in it.

Don't get mud slides where I live, we do have all the smog from Los Angeles, it backs up against the mountains here since it cannot go over them.

What we don't have enough of is RAIN and water.

I'll take the earthquakes over tornado's any day.

Yea, it seems we're in competition on the smog front, LA and Houston seem to flip flop for first place!

Last week we just got a dusting. Around the holidays we had two storms that gave us 6 inches each.

Here is a pic of my place taken yesterday. Temperature was down to 5 degrees last night. Another weekend of no truck washing!

Havin my guys work on that trailer I bought last fall. Will post a pic of how it looks when they get it repainted.

Dave do you have a drain at the bottom of your driveway so the water does not go into your garages?

Looks to me you would flood out when it rains without one but what do I know about flooding, now if the ground shakes I can help you!

Hello Jon,

We have had challenges with major rain events over the years. Peg and I have lived here since 1977.

We have a storm sewer catch basin right in front of the garage doors. The real problem is our little town tars & chips the streets every few years, which raises the level of the street! I have thought a few times of installing a curb to keep the street run off from coming in my driveway. Gotta love livin in a small town.

Back to the weather it got down to zero last night! Here is a picture looking to the North from my house.
