Husqvarna from Lowes for 600.

Hello.

Today I found a Husqvarna power washer at a local Lowes Hardware store. They are asking 600 for it. IT has a 13hp Honda engine, is 3300(?) psi/4gpm. IT is missing the extension rod & any spray bits. Near as I can figure those parts are 50 - 60 at the same Lowes. I forgot who made the pump - Atlas?

Seems like this is about 400 less than other power washers with a 13 hp Honda engine. (craftsman, Troy Bilt & Kracher are the main ones I see around here.)

I would be using this in adjuct to my home maintance business. Most of the homes I take care of are for sale. I help the sellers prepare their houses & maintain them while they are for sale. I generally do a LOT of deffered maintance, yard maintance & painting of homes inside & out.

To me it seems like a good peice of equipment to have to help me get more done faster.

I have noticed though that husqvarna does not mention their power washers anymore on their website. The last thing I want to do is waste $600 on somthing that is a bad deal. But I am also tired of waisting $60 bucks a day to rent a poorly maintained power washer when I need one.

Any thoughts before I ramble on anymore?

Thanks
Les

A smart business man/women should see right through this. #1 Husquvarna has not proven itself in the area of Power Washers. #2 Lowes sells to the homeowner clientel. You are a business looking to use it for a commercial business. Is the price pleasing ? Yes. Is it reliable ? Who knows.

I would settle on spending the additional cash to buy something that you know others in business use. There is a reason why you hear so much of the other washers. Personally, I stay with Kohler engines and Cat pumps. They are the most reliable in my view but the Honda's engines/ gp pumps seem to be making a comeback.

Just my 2 cents.....

$600 for a 13 HP Honda powered pressure washer regardless of pump brand is a Great Deal, I would buy that myself!

Could the pump be an Annovi Reverberri?

Direct drive units are not as durable as belt driven, but you would typically pay around $1000 for a comparable direct drive.

THe pump is a CAT.

I typically use a power washer about 2 days a month. (course if I owned one I could use it every day....)

Maybe I could end up making a Honda powered go cart with that engine if the washer sucks???

I am sorry, I must have misread the post. I am with Mark, I would buy it. Also with a cat pump. You have a steal although it is direct drive.

Good Luck.

It is time for vacation. I have been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest. Last week was a little slow. I actually got two days off. I still worked about 70 hours, but I did it in 4 days last week.

Hi Cat is a very good pump they make several belt driven pump to,belt driven last long becuse the rpm are slower. If you get the rpm and the gallons per minute right you should be ok with any gun and nozzle on it.The size of the nozzle hole that is.

well I went back to the store yesterday when I was done for the day. Had my cash in hand. The store had re-arranged all the items outside (where the power washer was). Now they cant find it.... NO one remembers selling it or removing it off the chain but its not there at the moment.

They were going to look for it today for me. I had to make a run from Indiana to Iowa today so I was not able to see if they found it or not.

I am praying that it is there tomorrow when I get there!
