Guys Im trying to see if its me or what? Now all I look for is dirt on something. Even taking my kids somewhere I'm either checking out the parking lot, the building, the vehicles in the parking lot, etc. I always have cleaning on my mind. I even started looking to see if I could see dirt on my wife (just kidding).Do you guys have the same thought process I or NAY!

Yes people tend to notice things relating to what they do for a living or a hobby. I never noticed 5th wheels before, but since we got one they seem to be all over the place.

Same for pressure washing, I notice them all over the place now.

Now best you don't tell you wife you notice dirt on her or she will hit you with another frying pan!

I love my job, it's the work I hate!

Nope I think about Pressure Washers all the time. You see it carries into other fields also. My wife thinks if she were strapped to a Hotwater Pressure Washer that I would pay her more attention. She does not understand why even when I am off work I talk shop on that stupid computer clear across the country to guys I never even know. She sayes why do you do that you aren't making money doing that for those people. She does not understand that I enjoy helping people. I tell her that it is better than going out drinking with the boys all the time. Atleast she can go into the computer room and know where I am and what I am doing.

Yep, me too!

When you do so many different cleaning jobs it is impossible to look at most anything without thinking about cleaning it!

Since I have been in this business for many years, most everywhere I travel(in my area)reminds me of a job/customer that we do, have done or want to do!

It has been said that our lives should have a balance between work/family/play, etc. I really never have been able to get much of a balance. Work seems to always get a higher priority than it should!

Yes Kevin, we are in the same boat, although my boat differs a bit from Kens. I've been a hairdresser for about 23 yrs. and all I ever noticed before was hair. Now when I see hair, if it's dirty, I wonder what psi I should use to clean it.(Of course for that I know I'd have to use the close range)

I have to admit that I notice everything that is dirty and wonder what the person is thinking about. I go by store fronts, gas stations, awnings and malls and wonder how they get any business. What pigs is the first thing that comes into my mind. Commercial business's should be the first ones that get cleaned as there appearance says it all about there over all business. It always amazes me to see that some business paid $5000-10,000 for an awning and then let the thing get dirty and moldy. That is put there to attract you to it as is the guy that owns a fleet of dirty trucks.
Its really too bad that they cant see themselves through our eyes, huh?!

How about the companies that do nothing until the big boss is scheduled to make a visit. Then they will spend a furtune??????/

I would say that they are cleaning for the wrong reasons.

They should maintain for the customers, not for the 5 min visit to put on a show as if their building is always clean.

So many times it's not really dirty for the customer (should be the real reason) but when the High Honchos show up it's a different story. ...just my $.02 ...

...what gets me are these jobs that are locked into a one year contract & the company managers aren't smart enough to realize that the are getting the short end of the stick!

I've been trying to get a chain store that has the window cleaning company (supposedly) doing the P-Washing - and I know for fact that the concrete is a TOTAL mess & the windows look GREAT!

. . . . & I don't do windows! They don't like me & I don't like them!

HMMM!

I also have to agree with Dan. I use to wash for a company out of Atlanta. Right before I moved to southeast GA to start my own businesss we washed a nationaly reconized rental car chain building at the ATL airport. I was told that their CEO was comming into town so they needed it cleaned right away. The building was atleast 10 years old and never been washed. That tells me how much their appearance means to their coustomers.
