 One of my prtners recently broke his arm doing a roof, after nearly 15 years injury-free. I got to thinkin' about all I've done to myself already, in much less time. Anyone else w/scars, or am I fuul throttle too often?

I had a hose bust right near the wand. 250 degree water and caustic degreaser on my face hands and all over my clothes. Ran and shut off pump ran to water hose and soaked myself for about 5 mins. Had minor burns to face and legs (mostly from caustic)but thank god the caustic didn't get me too bad. This was about 2 months ago and I have really checked my hoses and connections almost daily to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Thank God it didn't hit my eyes. I wear gloves, glasses and rain gear now when Im using acids or caustics. Valuable lesson learned that day.

Mike,
You may consider using a 12 volt pump sprayer to run caustics.

Less of a hazard to you and less wear on your hoses ect.

B.E. bought one shortly after it happened. I use it to apply degreaser to equipment, apply chlorine to roofs, apply deck brightener to decks the list goes on. I even mix up weed killer to spray the property lol it has many many uses.
