Injector Problem

I was all set up to wash a house, had chemical mixed and all and my down stream injector decided not to draw, it is attached at the pump. I tried two other injectors, changed out wands, checked for leaks, still no draw. My machine is a 3400psi 4gpm and is about 2years old, did run it dry, thanks too my help, a couple times for a few second (5-10) until I could turn it off. Any suggestions where to start.

Too much hose after the pump, that is my first guess. As the length of line increases the force needed to push the fluid will increase. This will increase the back pressure not allowing the needed vortex inside the injector to open the ball bearing. In the future know the limitations of the length of hose, normally 100-175' before you may have issues. Plus you can play with the RPM /unloader combinatins and at last resort remove the soap tip all togther.

The other side is a pinhole in the suction side of the inlet hose or the inside of the injector has scaled up with old chemicial/rust.

I had this problem

I had this problem also. My machine is a 5.5 gpm, and I have a reel with about 250 feet on it. The first chemical injector I bought from my supplier was for a 5 to 8 gpm pump. It worked a couple of times, but never after. I tried everything, from a new one, to opening the injector and cleaning it. nothing helped. I put a 3 to 5 gpm injector in its place. and it works great. So try a smaller injector. and place the suction end in a bucket of water, at the end of use, to flush water through and clean it, to keep it from corroding.

By replacing two I too think it may be in the sucken line, pin hole or stopped up.

The two new ones are you sure they were not put on backwards.
