Looking at doing flat work (drive thru,s)
What a hassle in trying to find out if we need to reclaim water or not. Went to city waste treatment plant (nice guys) they are going to try to help me find out. You have the city, sewer collectors, waste water plant and DNR to work with.
Does anyone out there know the ropes as to who to talk to? I just want to know the legal way to clean a drive thru. Thanks again for info Tim Highfield

The proper way at least around here is to collect all runoff, Pre-filter this water then dispose of it at a waste water treatment plant. Before you do that They will want you to take samples from a similar job and send them to be analyzed if they pass you can dump at their facility for a small fee. All of this is due to large oil deposits in drive-thru type areas.

Tim,
You will also need permits to carry that contaminated water. Another rule is you cannot legally go from one job to another with that water, you must dump it first and they are not all close by either.

The law says if you put that water down you must pick it up.

Tim,

Listen to Daren, he is telling you what you need to know. That's is what we deal with here too. The only think we avoid is the transportaton and disposal fees. We treat the water on site, ourselves, and dispose of it on site. We come in empty and leave each site empty.
