IT's Getting Time To

Lay down the wands for awhile and have some fun,The fourth of July is around the corner.I'm getting ready for the big day altho I'll have to work the weekend,not much tho.

I've been waxing on the vettie (1971)for two days and more than likely wipe on it somemore.I still have a 1984 and 1985 4 wheeldrive(s) CHEVY with alot of chrome to detail before Wednesday.My Plans are to ride around alday Wednesday in the 1985 and the 1984 alday thursday but Friday man I riding high in the vettie.I could only get 156 mph out of it today,guess I'm going haveta put something in the fuel or gain some weight one.

This is really a warning for some of you newbee's,take time for your family,your trade isn't worth missing out with your family.There's NO truck NO house NO flatwork OR NO ect. worth missing out with your families.I know b/c I've worked every weekend in this trade,I didn't take time for my family it was go go go on weekends.I still work weekends and miss what I shouldn't be missing.My children are grown and Married with kids,we're close and still every close,I keep two grandsons though the summer months.By me working weekends they planned other things over the years,I can take time now but I want ask them to change what they have been doing.They visit the families on the other side of the marriage which I think is great.So now I work less and play more with my family but not on holidays.

So take time out,don't lose out by working every weekend and holiday,yeah I even worked Xmas.

anyway whats for dinner,mine is going to be alot of things,I'm going to ride around and eat all day Wednesday,Thursday and Friday at your house and your house.Friday,I and another vettie are riding behind a bikers group,we're just riding so we may end up at your house.Wax on wax off wax on wax off,I'm slow it takes me alday to detail the 1984,dat alot of chrome takes forever.I seen a polish I want to try,it showed polishing tanks on the bigs rigs by hand with a mirrow like finish,stainless steel too.

anyway take time for your families,sometimes this trade makes it hard to take the time,enjoy the coming hoilday,I am.

Haven't had a vacation is 5 years. I am taking one this week. I flew in my entire family (which I have not seen in 12 years) to spend the week with me on the shores of Lake Michigan. Got the Seadoo's tuned up and ready to go. Can you die tubing ????? My kids are axnious to see me flip over on the tube. I hope these old bones can make it. Good topic Big Boy !!!!! This is one thing I totally agree with you on. Enjoy your week !!!!!

It's nice when you can relax for a while Not easy to come by these days for me. I'm looking forward to the 4th. I think I'll drink about 48 Miller Lites and then have my wife supervise me around the fireworks

I have my oldest son leaving for college this Sunday , He is going on a 5 week study then he will be back home for 3 weeks and then start the fall term ....... Man O Man where did the time go .........

seems like Yesterday i was teaching him the "ropes" on P/wing

48,dang if I drinked that much you'd haveta carry me home not counting cleaning up the mess.I've had one firecracker to go off in my hand,I don't hold them as long anymore,I've never forgotten what it felt like.

Drove the vettie to town,left it setting for one hour while I went bike riding.Would you beleive someone stole the passager mirrow,now I'll have to find another vettie setting and do the same thing,no j/k.

I'm taking off all week hopefully,going to the fireworks stand tomorrow and loading up on bottle rockets,its war time with those around here,watchout.

Wondered when you would try to get back into this trade,it sorta gets in your blood.Are you going to do the same trade or pick another one?

Do you want to know whats funny,lol,I still get tickled when they do that "ack like they don't see you".

I did the samething alot of times when I was saleing on the road,I wouldn't look if it was a pile of gold setting there,altho I would keep a eye on it and ack like you didn't see me looking.Everybody that rides with me laughs at the samething,its funny as all getout.Some women are like that but most of them look.I didn't realize at that time those driver were laughing at me too,lol.

We're having to boil our leftovers,hope they taste tender enough,a few millers and who cares what they taste like,good eating.
