lighten up. the representative of a respected roofing outfit told my parents to do the same thing--pure bleach--and to let it sit for a week before washing it off. i told them not to until i'd researched it, but there's no apparant reason not to use bleach on a roof. seems to me the guy was trying to do his research and got slapped for his trouble.
oliver twist, i can't help you because i've not done any roofs, but please check back on this board, because the great majority of users are very happy to try to help with questions just like yours.
if you don't get an answer here, call one of the many outfits that sells chemicals for pressure washing. i don't have my info handy, but anderson's (ask for russel) is one such company and delco is another. you should be able to find either with a simple internet search, or maybe someone will post the phone #'s for you. i've found that most folks will tell you if they don't carry the type product you need and will often refer you to someone that does carry such a product. good luck
