liability horror stories

I got my virginity popped on liability insurance coverage lately.

i hate sending them the money every month... A couple of weeks ago I washed a liquor store stucco with wood trims. Low pressure, brush, rinse. Two days later a piece of wood trim falls off the building and hits a lady on the back. Their insurance carrier calls me and says they want a piece of my ass, because my washing may have caused the structural failure. that's so BS.

Anyway, my insurance carrier is on it...and I am relieved. I think I'll have a different attitude about paying my premium now.

My experience? My insurance policy is ONLY my business license - use it for a claim and you can find yourself NOT renewed . . . increased premiums are the least of your worries then. My suggestion? If there's ANYWAY to afford it, pay the claim yourself and NEVER report it. Good luck on your renewal.

depends on the coverage you have, here is an example of insurance we carry, we can bump it up when needed, pay attention to the fact that we carry a umbrella policy and our insurance does not have a cap it is per occurance, per project.

We carry One million Dollars in General Liability Insurance

One million in Personal Injury

Two Million General Aggregate

Two Million in Products Comprehensive / Op Aggregate

One Million Liability on all of Our Company Trucks

Two Million Excess Umbrella Liability and Two Million per occurrence

Plus we carry One Million on each Prokleen Employee for Workers Compensation
