I have quoted a few residential jobs and landed them all. Will be doing my first one tomorrow. I did however just get a call for a business building which includes 4 business, daycare, resturaunt, realty office, hari salon. The building is 150 x 60. All one story, 9 ft of siding except 1 60 foot side is 20 feet. 2 small dormers. The siding is mosly vinyl with some sections of dryvit and some brick. I calculated approx. 5200 square feet of siding. The grime is not bad at all, no mold and no grease from exhaust fans - they go out the roof. I figured a price of $520. They also want the sidewalks done of 180 feet by 3 feet, about 50 pieces of gum and no much more. 540 feet squared of so I priced that at $145. They will need it done early at 5am and be done the day care sectino by 7 and then I have until noon to finish. I came up with a total of $665 and am confident I can get this done in 4 - 5 hours. My only concern is that I may be underpricing but I want this job. I actually need it to pay the new business expenses. Any advise would be great.

I fyou think that you can get it done in 4-5 hours, and it is $665 that is well over %100 an hour, and that is a newbie that is on a learning curve. Just what exactly are you expecting to make?

Scott, I figured the price was fair at I based on it on the avg. of 10 cents ft2 siding and 25cents ft2 for the concrete. I have won all my bids so far and am afraid that I may be underpricing as this is what others have thought. I am not out to make a million bucks an hour, but I am in this to make money. I spent quite a bit and am proud that I offer top of the line equipment and chemicals as well as being very well insured. I am only looking for prices that will with no doubt benefit me while be responsible to the consumer.
