Hello All,

When im not pulling the trigger. My machine spikes every 30 seconds or so. Didn't do that before. I also notice a small back fire here and there when I turn off the engine.

Thanks for any help.

Dan,
I have noticed what I think is the same condition your describing, my unloader seems to spike high 34000 to 3800 psi and fluctuates in that range even though my usage pressure is never higher than 2800 to 3000 psI I don't detect any leakage anywhere other than possibly inside the un loader. please let me know what you find, I've had this condition for a while but doesn't seem to change so I live with it although it doesn't seem right.
Hope every thing else is good is texas,
Adrian

Dan,

Sounds like your unloader is cycling, most likely due to a leak
somewhere in the system. Check gun, hoses, and fittings for a leak.

You could also have a leaky coil, or your unloader is leaking internally.

If there is a pressure loss in the system with your pressure actuated
unloader, it will cycle allowing pressure to build up to your "spike"
pressure then it will unload and go in to bypass, if there is still a leak or
pressure loss, the unloader will keep cycling.

You need to find where the leak is and correct the problem.

P.S. Cavalier look for leaks, if no leaks are found you may want to replace unloader.

Call me if you need some assistance!

Thanks Mark,

You sound right on. I did change a hose today and it's leaking at the coupler. I didn't have the right tools to tighten it up good enough today. I'll check that and get back to you and Adrian.

All is well so far in Texas. Thanks for asking. Have a great day. :)

Thanks Mark,

You're right! I had a bad coupler in one spot and a bad O ring in another.

Worked like a charm. Thank you very much.
