Just wondering what type of Surflo pump is needed for a chemical sprayer? What gpm and psi? Also what type of gun sprayer do you use on the end?

Thanks,

This is one of those how do you like it things. You can use a shur flo that is rated at one or two gpm. You can use a standard clear vinyl braided hose, and get a hose barb and put it into a regular trigger gun with what ever tip in size that you prefer. Probably the wider the tip the better. If you are going to run Stains and Sealers through it I would make sure that I rinsed it out thoroughly after each use. The stuff has a way of globbing up. Also make sure that the shur flo is a demand pump.

Sorry if I was not much help. I don't have one now and never have had one. I have thought about it though. Does that count?

Look at this for a option. We use two items X Jet and Coke Canisters with small a small compressor. The compressor is hooked up to the 3 gallon canister and the chemicals are disperced out a gun with assort. tips. What is nice about this system is chemicals never run threw the compressor or threw a pump. You can get these canisters at local beverage companys and parts from a company called Fox.

Now my application is exclusivly hood systems with a very hot blend of sodium hyroxcide, and this tends to damage pumps and other moveing parts.

Instead of using the clear braided tubing you can also use the small 1/2" garden hoses that are very inexpensive (maybe 50' for $10.00) and just cut the ends off and use adapters to fit your pump and nozzle.

Thanks for the help so far guys.....

I would give Shur Flow a call, they have helped me in the past. I thought I had the number-but no I don't. They have a 800 number and I think they are in LA. They make several valves, you would need the Vitron-and it is to be used for hot chemicals as I recall. I would go threw these pumps right and left,& this is why I went another direction.
