now in connecticut , it's what i call wildew season. mildew comes on houses with oil base paint or stain .an observation i have made over the years . it comes on latex too but not every year. question, is there something someone does to prevent the mildew from comming back? now these jobs last 1yr. if washed in or about mid oct. i use sodium hypochlorite 15% with soap, hot water. what do you have out there?

It will always come back. Some will hold off longer than others. It just depends on the area they the house is in!

thanks i find the best thing for my location is, do these mildew jobs in mid october. it will last until next sept. if done to soon the mildew comes back. the people like the honesty. thanks again.

I just did a job wherein I took the bottom 4 feet of drywall off and removed the insulation and sprayed it down with Olympic Mildew Check. The area was tested by a enviormental expert using equipment to sample scrappings and air for all types of mold and mildew. Had before and after numbers. All was great and the guys are ready to button it back up. The stuff is about $13 gal. Supposed to have a 2 year residual effect. I've got another huge house to do. This could be a great opportunity for all of us in the business.
