Hey, can someone give me some info on pricing a roof, I live in mid Texas and their is alot of black wide streaks, Roof Algae, from what I've read, I know it depends on how much dirt or algae, can anyone give me a starting point on pricing. I have a 3400psi with 4gpm machine. Thanks Mike

You can start anywhere from $50.00 on up...depends on how valuable your time is, how fast you are, what your market will bear, what method you're using to clean them, and many other factors that escapt me right now. Hell, you could start at $1.00 and go up. It's all up to you.

Here in central FL, my starting roof price is $175 and goes up from there. A $175.00 roof will use $15.00 in chems and take roughly 2 hours.

Hey Mike, thanks for the info, I'm new at PW and have a question on chemical application, my machine manual didn't give the dilution ratio so I called the manufacturer, its a 12:1 ratio, If my chemical concentrate calls for a 10:1 dilution, could I just draw directley from the concentrate since it gets diluted through my chemical injector and suppossedly comes out at 12:1. Is the chemicl injector on machines pretty accurate. Thanks Mike G.

Are you planning to use the downstreamer to do roofs? It isn't a really efficient way to get them clean...takes several applications, and then you're still using too much pressure to clean.

The best way I've found to do roofs is to use a 12v shurflo pump to apply a 2:1 ratio of 10.5% pool chlorine and water.
