Living on the West Coast of Canada has some great potential in the areas I am pursueing. I also would like to know what some of you do for when it snows? A recap of the areas I am very interested in cleaning are Roof tops, houses, driveways, walkways, brick, wood restoration & preservation, chimney, carports. Some areas that have been suggested are Gutters, Boats and Hulls( not for shows), Awnings, Kennels. I don't want to spread myself to thin, but have enoughprojects to keep me busy for pretty much 12 months of the year, of course my Wife wants us to take a trip in there somewhere. The weather here is pretty weird it was mild until the middle of November. We just received snow last week probably a couple of inches. I don't want to take away from doing the pressure washing part of our business. There is a lot of mildew, and other contaminants on everything I've mentioned before. The competition here does a lot of everything including pressure washing. I intend to specialize in just cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.
I am also looking for someone to help me personally in the areas of Awnings and Boat cleaning, possibly in the deep cleaning of Parking Lots oil removal, battery acid, gum, sap, bird doo doo:rolleyes:. My wife would prefer me to buy a video, but I do better as a student, where if I have the questions I can ask as I go along, as phoning is not always the best answer. So please let me know if there is anyone one out there willing to travel this way to help me get started in these areas let me know. I can always use a good Consultant....
The reason being I'm in class til the middle of May and can't travel until I'm more secure with plenty of clients, and finished with class.
Well my dog is giving me that look, get me outta here or else there will be a mess to clean up.
I appreciate all comments and tried not to write another novel of questions. I just have alot of questions I guess.
Good reading.

Thanks and have a good week.

I dont know how willing someone would be to travel out there, but you may be able to find someone that would let you work with them........and that would make more sense, because they already have the work lined up........

Good luck.

Thanks Mike, and Bigboy, but to find someone who is willing to train me is not going to happen. The because #1) No one does Awnings here. For that information I will get in contact with the manufacturers for the proper info, without proper training just trial and error Eh! As for boat cleaning I'll keep searching for the best way to clean. Kennels are flat surface projects obviously straight forward.
If I had been able to stay in North Carolina a couple of months longer then I would have been properly trained and certified, in several applications. At least I was able to live there for a short time and gain some knowledge.
I want to be able to pay for good training and certification. Up here I would be paid $9/hr, and not cash. Participating in this program means I will succeed in understanding certain areas than trying to go it alone. For Me to understand all I can is the best, and smart move to make.
Not only that calling people often is very expensive, and frustrating because they are not here showing me how things are done 1 - 1. I tend to have plenty of questions. OH it's that Bill calling again, I ain't here. Companies here don't take to kindly to new people wanting to gain some experience to start their own Cleaning company..
Hey isn't that, that Bill guy we trained last week and he's taking our customers from us.
I tried to get info saying I was a student doing Research they couldn't care less who I was and with what College. Unfortuanately I had no answers to give for that report, and did not fare so well in getting good marks. My wife pushed me to call the competition as well, I knew what would happen only because I had worked for 2 companies before :(.

Thanks Bill Warren

I'm a little confused as to exactly what it is you're after............are you willing to pay this person?? And how would you know that this person's knowledge is worth having?? Not everyone out there plays with a full deck. I have never heard of this being done before.......not to say it doesnt, but it seems to be an unusual request. I wish you luck.
