I am getting back into the business after a few years but this time I am going from portable cold water rig to a trailer rig that has both cold and hot water capabilities. I also going with a two man rig. I am looking for advice on whether I should run one high powered machine that handles two wands or two smaller machines running seperately. I would like atleast 4000 psi or more and 4-6 gpm each. I really dont know where to start. I have 10 years of residential siding/deck/concrete/and brick cleaning. I want to now get year round work with the hot water expansion. What is a reliable company/brand or unit that I can get for a reasonable price, meaning less than 10k if possible. Thank you for your advice. Email me if you would like at billypigg2001@yahoo.com

two smaller machines, minimum 2-16HP engines, preferably 18 or 20HP. One machine malfunctions, you still can limp through job with one machine. 2 men- 2 machines. Try to use the same model pumps, and the same model engines if possible for easier maint., repair and familiarity. For me, the amount of equipment on a rig is limited to the size & capacity of the rig(Length x Width x GVW x trailer or truck). I have 1 box truck + 2 trailer mounted set-ups(3 hot waters-2 cold/1-13hp, 2-16hp, 1-18hp, 1-21hp). Each trailer/set-up seems to be taking on a life of its own each year(set-up/equip list) based on the type accounts serviced. I think we have the most use for the 14ft box truck as most of our contracts are commercial stores/shops. The 16ft trailer is good for all around work & back-up/overflow support. And the 10ft trailer is perfect for residential jobs.
