Hi Guys
Last yr when I bought my used equipment I have a 250 or 300 gal water tank (blue) but it did not have a lid on it . ID is 6in OD is 7.25in . Cap screws on top of the tank ( like a small chem tank). Tank is a round flat bottom unit . I cannot find any info on it.
But would like to find a lid for it if possible.
Thanks for the help. Tim

Tim,

If you don't find a lid, how about making one.

Cut a circle of wood to fit inside, then a square of wood to use as a cap. I would paint then to seal against rot. You could then attach it with a hinge using some small screws and nuts and use some type of hasp to keep it shut ( fix it to open at rear if on open-trailer so wind won't blow open).

Or maybe put a small eye-bolt on each side of the opening and use a bungee-cord. Use a short piece of small chain to attach to tank so you don't lose it on road and knock out someone's windshield.

You could put some type of rubber gasket under lid to seal if needed. Also use silicon to seal around screw holes.

Obviousily, you would not want to drill a hole on side of tank. But shouldn't be a problem on top of tank around the fill hole.

Hope this helps

Greg
