Need to make the decision

Hello,

thanks to all of you who have been answering my equipment questions. I am starting my own business shortly and have looked at new and used equipment. I have looked at so many options I am starting to confuse myself.

Here is.
This is what I expect I will need. Please comment if I am missing something or dont need something, etc. I plan on doing mostly residential, concrete, patios, driveways and maybe drive thrus.

hot water machine
4 or more gpm
3000 psi or so
16 hp or more
300 or larger tank
tandem axle trailer
telescoping wand
200 feet high pressure hose
turbo nozzle
surfact cleaner 20" wide
2 hose reels
supply hose
tool box
detergents containers (2)

No here are some options.
I can get a llanda 28 hp onen motor, a few years old, 5.6 gpm, 3000 psi 275 gallon tank, 200 feet hp hose, general pump and generator for $4500.

or 18hp motor, cleanline burner, 5.7 gpm, 3000 psi, general pump, 6x12 enclosed trailer, generator, 350 hp hose, 30 steel eagle surface cleaner but no tank for $7500.

My other option is go brand new and get a 20 hp honda, general pump, 8 gpm, 3000 psi, add brand new 500 gallon tank, hose reel, 200 feet hp hose 20 inch surface cleaner , turbo nozzle and everything else I stated I needed for $7200 delivered then pick up a brand new trailer for 1800.

I am leaning towards the brand new for a bit more for peice of mind and warranty but was hoping to save some money.

I will call pressure washer zone tomorrow to see if he has something comprable.

Any thoughts on my options above.

Also, do everyone prefer 12 v or 120 volt with a generator. And if I end up with a 12 v can it ever be converted.

I know there is a lot here, but thanks in advance for you help. the season will be here before I know it and I need to make a decsion. thanks MIke

INSURANCE!! Cover your a**. Your commercial accounts will likely require you to have at a minimum $1mil poilcy. I'll leave the tech stuff to the pros, but it's a CYA world out there. Homeowners are vey particular about their stuff. dent a car, destroy a flower bed, expect to kiss alot of booty to avoid an insurance claim, or a lawsuit.
ALWAYS CYA!!!------That's the little world I live in.

Without a doubt, go with option 3. You can't beat brand new at that price and you can't go wrong with 8 gpm.

Thanks everyone,

I already have the ins. covered. Expensive up here because not a lot of people cover it, but I have a good agent and it is worth the few extra bucks.

I really think I want brand new as well. I will give you a call tomorrow mark.
The 8 gpm unit I am talking about is listed at

I was hoping for a generator but the 12 volt will have to do if I end up with this one. I have been meaning to give you a call but at the same time trying to find that perfect used set up at a great price which I am now realzing dosn't exsist. I am also open to any suggestions you may have based upon the work load I expect to encounter. My main concern is I do not want to be limited and want to be efficient, time is money.

We have 14 12 volt DC burners and 1 120 volt AC in our fleet right now. The 12 volt Beckett set up has been work fine for years have yet to replace any thing other than filters and a few nozzles here and there for over 4000 hours on them I think that they are holding there own.

WOW!

Eric that is GREAT 4000 hours on a 12 volt, without replacing
ignitors or blower motors that is fantastic! [white]

That is better than the typical!

LOL!

Eric,

Sorry about that heck don't be superstituos!

Maybe your 12 volt burners will make it to the Guiness Book
of Pressure Washer Records?

Or maybe not!

You evidently must have set them up right low voltage is
the biggest enemy of 12 volt burners most common also..

:)

There is no maybe to it,they already made it,its something to be proud of.His ignitors may be made of gold or in the USA instead of china.
