New Construction Brick Cleaning

I may be getting some calls for cleaning brick on new construction. The customer has made reference to Vanitrol. Can anybody give me some advice in this area. I have been mainly washing houses and hope to get some commercial work this winter from this contractor. He will be wanting the excess motar cleaned off the brick surface. Will too much pressure blow the joints? and what is the best way to apply the chemical? Is it water soluable and can be downstreamed? or should I use a flow-jet sprayer? Should I invest in buckets and brushes? Any help will be appreciated.

Glenn,
We have cleaned many new construction brick buildings, We allways use ---2 chemicals--- 1 works just as good as the other; 1 is called Sure Clean. 2 is called Off-Right, both are brick acid used for removing excess mortar off. We apply it on by down stream injector and use rotomax or 15 degree tip on 2500-3000 psi hot water. No buckets or brushes needed. "DON"T GET" this acid on you it will realy hert you!!!!!!!!! Wear full gear when useing it,full face shield, jump suit, rubber chemical gloves,& all........To much pressure will damage joints,But thats the psi we normaly use.Unless you get into cleaning old historical buildings then thats a new ball game chemical and all... Hope this helps my friend.... Later.........Wild Man.........
P.S. Dont let this contractor dictate prices to you most of them will. You give them a price and they turn around and tell you: Is that the best price you can give me? I'm going to give you more jobs!!! & thats B.S they just want you to do it dirt cheep!! Watch for these guys! I've been had by this type before...NEVER AGAIN!! I give my price now and stick to my guns, end of story!!!

How ya been doing? Things round here been little slow. I while back I washed a great big Church with a new brick wing added on. I sure could have used some good advice like Wild Man had sounds like he knows his stuff . But I tell ya what I done I used nothing but pure water and pressure. It was a slow go I went over it twice. and some spots three times. but it turned out nice everybody seemed to be pleased. I even got some house jobs off of it. Good luck and let us know how this job goes. catch ya later.
