Newb Q, Clothing Attire?

Being new to this industry I was wondering how do you dress on the job? As for pants I'm curious to what is best to use as far as comfort, appearance, durrability? As for shoes do you wear casual tennies or do you use those black rubber boots? Willy

For clothes, I wear Cheap denim jeans and a comany t. I also require it of my employees. For shoes, if I am washing cars, I wear rubber shoes. They are a bit cooler. If it is concrete, I wear boots. I spend money to get the better ones. It is worth it to me to spend the $70 for a really good pair of rubber boots.

When it's cold I wear carhart PVC overalls,a PVC flannel lined coat, hat, rubber palmed work gloves and North Face Water proof boots. When it gets warmer, I substitute the Carharts for a pair of boardshorts. When it gets hot I wear boardshorts and a waterproof vest to manage my nozzles with the same boots. When it's cold I'm warm and dry and when its hot I'm cool and wet.

Dickies pants and shirts for that uniform look, and rubber boots. Nothing worse than wet feet. I have tried so many leather boots that claim to be waterproof, and they are not. They were never intended to be used in and around water for extended time frames. I am happy with the Big 5 rubber boots. Cheap and fairly comfortable.

This info. from a guy that is a streaker ? He does not even know how to leave a hotel room properly dressed.

I thought sheep herders were the only ones that wore rubber boots,I wear Rockys and my feet stay dry and warm.

How many hours of continous water do those Rockys see. Maybe I will have to give them a try. I think they are one of the few that I have not

Tuesday I waded mud and water for 8 1/2 hours and had dry feet,when washing farm eqt. its not offen I get to wash on dry land.

O...I wear the bear claw,,,they cost 160 to 200 depending where you buy them

I wear Dickies, a company tee and cheap tennis shoes in spring and summer. I do go through a couple of pair of shoes but I like the feel of them when I am on ladders. In fall and winter I wear rockies boots.

LL Bean duck boots work good.
