Need some help, I do homes and bussinesses mostly and I resently had a customer ask me to clean his truck and trailer on a weekly or bi-weekly basis .I don't need help with pricing,However I need advice on what cleaning chemicals, how to apply, dwelling time, and do you guys apply chemicals thru high pressure and then rinse high pressure or do you use low pressure chemical injector then rinse with high pressure.thanks for any help.there are many other owner/operators in my area, that this customer informed me would be willing to get theres done also.Seems there not many with a moble wash rig willing to clean individual truck and trailers in this area.thanks again for any help, [hello] it will be most welcome.

well first cuz it's not a fleet and there is not just one "kind" of trk........... meaning different trks. are going to have different cleaning needs............. and different applications.................. chrome-tanks, spoilers , chrome whells ,etc...... ....some might want it brushed..others may not want a brush on it.......... It is going to be a "learning experience" for you.

When it's a fleet and same type of trks. for the most part it's all the same type of wash............... be prepared to have different types of cleaning products on board.
your "dwelling time " will vary........... on temp. and the type of soap you use.

Up-stream wash is a gr8 way to wash once you get the hang of it and learn your dilution rates........... down stream works gr8 as well dilution rates vary with the two............... Pre spray is another application that works gr8 .......either way untill you get the hang of it dont let it "DWELL" long.......... Once you see how your soap is responding with the temp. outside.......and your dilution of soap being used. ...... That is when you will beable to answer most of your own questions !!!!!!!

Seems to me if there is'nt many washers doing single trks...... it is one or two reasons........... They dont know how.......... `er they know the different factors involved

Heat is also a big factor or trks. if `ya dont have heat and you realy dont have your dilution rate down............ I would think about buying a hot h20 washer.

as far as cleaning chems..........call Mr. Mark @ Pressure Washer Zone !!

There is tons of different trk. wash soaps.......alot of them are not worth bucket it comes in :(

You will run into several problems washing individual trucks,in time you can weed out the bad apples.I wash mainly individuals and do one small fleet of 15,the individuals means will but they wiil skip washes on you if it looks like rain in 2 or 3 days. When some ask for a price as to wash every week or two it sometimes turns into a monthy or more account.I do not have a set price not even on my weekly or Bi-weekly accounts,It took me years to lean how to use the words "it depends" on individuals trucks. It also took me a few years to weed out all the bad apples b/c I was trying to be more than fair with the guys.In most they are some great guys to do business with, some are what I call cowboy drivers with alot of shiney whistles and bells on their trucks.Use the wrong type chemical and nomore shiney stuff and a T'd off cowboy is like you shot his horse.I downstream my acids and upstream my soap on all, however I prespray the bugs with soap before I start my wash.Learn how to use the words "it depends" when washing individual trucks. My price usuaully runs 55 to 115 for truck and trailer and it has to be pretty clean to get the 55 price.

yeah `ya gets sum on the tanks......... Just gotta make sure you keep it rinshed off and dont allow to dry ..it will white`in them a tad if `ya got it too HOT ......... and will also burn a nasty brown streak on it also............. that is if you have your mix too strong............

larry yes it is BROWN ............ it goes by several names
but the orginal makers call it powerbrite ..

Chris your first couple trks. you will be very slow.....but as you get the hang of it you will beable to do several in a hour.

And hey ..............>> I have and still do ask "knotheaded" questions, IF `ya dont know the answer that is what this BB is for..............Then when you have your answer you will beable to answer other folks.
