Nozzel on Surface cleaner

Hello BB,

I have a 3000 psi, 4.8gpm, 16 hp Rashco pw.

I purchased a surface cleaner a few days ago. The salesperson informed me that she did not have the 1.5 tips in stock but she did have the 2.0 tips in stock. She included them in the price of the unit.

My question is this. If my machine is rated for 5 gpm with 2.0 tips x 3.

It seems that the 3 nozzels are rated for a 6 gpm or higher. Is this going to hurt my pump in anyway possible, such as over working the pump or cycling the unloader at all.

Welcome any and all responses.

If your using a wand the nozzle size should be a 5.5, if your surface cleaner has 3 nozzles I would use the 2.0. It will drop your pressure a little but will not hurt the pump or unloader. If you use 3-1.5 nozzles I think you might damage the pump or unloader but Iam not sure! Hope this helps Mike B

Mike is right stick with the 2.0 nozzles.anything smaller could cause damage to your pump.1.5's would still be over pressuring your pump a very slight amount,it may not have immeadiate negative effects on the pump, but over time it will.

Thank guys, I will stick with the 2.0 nozzels. I was not sure if it would damage the pump in any way.
