I start planning to be off December thru Mid March throughout the year. I work around the house, work on rental properties, clean up and maintain equipment, make sales calls to prospective customers, take my "summer" vacation, work on taxes, relax.

I know in advance that in the Northeast that I will shut down for a few months.

I took up gutter cleaning this year and am happy to report it's working out quite well.

4 to six hours a day ( short days of winter ) I am pulling in 250 to 300 a day. Not bad but I do get a few days off as well. Again this is the first year I have advertised and all the customers I do this year will call next year and then the snowball gets rolling.

Low over head... and no stress and Single story homes ONLY!:) You could make more if your into high places. I have a Paitning contractor friend that wants to get into doing the high gutters and a union roofer from SFO thats wants into. But I keep thinking low stress... Will see

My big answer to your question would be a question, What makes you happy other than sex....?

marble and granite is a combination of diamonds to resurface and powder acids to polish. Also cleaning and sealing. Other stones like field stone fireplaces I use various grinding tools and cleaners to detail. These come out looking beautiful. You would not believe how dirty theses stones are and there never cleaned
