On a lighter note, the BBB

I've been a member of the BBB for years. I have found it to be a great source for referrals & business, this is why I joined & why I remain a member.

I always knew that they weren't all they were cracked up to be since, like the PWNA, anyone who would put up a membership fee could join, but I did think they had more integrity than what they apparently do.

I have checked out companies many times within the BBB. Whenever possible I use BBB businesses, as much since I'm a member as any reason I suppose, for goods & services I may need. For the companies that are members there are always reports on them, 49 times out of 50 the reports report satisfactory. When checking out companies that are not members most of the time there is no report, I always assumed from this that this meant there were probably no complaints against them. It appears that I've been a bit ignorant in this.

Check out this BBB article.

Puts the BBB in perspective. They're performing alot less than I thought they did. I'll still remain a member for my own purposes, but I definitely won't rely on their information on their members or reports. In addition I may become a more active member to try & get other members to advocate some sort of reform on our local BBB.

Just FYI
