Hello,
Depending on what kind of paint you are trying to remove, you might need hot water to help remove it. I had a job where the concrete was about 40' by 40' and it took me 2 days to remove it and I used the turbo and 15 degree tip alternating back and forth. Sometimes it will just take time. Now from what I had experienced, if it is not Latex, I will bid it at a 2 day rate for a smaller area than I did because of the rising fuel costs and pita factor. Depending on your situation, you might just buy some paint stripper and go that way if you have good ventilation. I helped a friend remove some paint from a garage years ago and we put a couple of fans blowing the vapors out the big garage door and since it was not too hot in there we let the paint stripper sit for about a couple of hours and used the long handled scrapers and we got most of it up the first shot and then rinsed the garage out and when the concrete was dry we did the second coat and that took care of the rest of the paint. Depending on how fast you want it done sometimes spending money instead of time is best. Hope this helps.

Thanks Chris.

mostly i come across old gloss paint that has been spilled onto concrete driveways when the home owner has been painting doors and window frames. usually the paint is rock hard and baked onto the surface.

Hello Ged,

Here is a picture of my guys removing paint from a concrete curb. 3000 psi, 8-10 gpm, 200+ degree water. The tip used in this picture I think is a 15 degree number 10 (1510).

Heat, pressure, volume usually removes paint the fastest, but at times it takes longer than you think it should!
