Pine siding and nails bleeding

I looked around and didn't find the solution to this one. I cleaned a shed with pine siding. After several days of drying the siding looks great with one exception. The nails in the siding are bleeding black leaving 24" bleed lines. I suspect if I were to clean this again I'd encounter the same thing. Any tricks to stopping this process?

I doubt you would be able to rectify this. The nails on wood siding need to be either SS or double dipped galvanized. Short of replacing every fastener, every time water finds it's way from the siding the problem will reoccur.

Try spraying oxalic acid carefully around the nail holes. Be careful, the acid could react with the nails and cause more problems. You may get the stains to lighten.
