Hello all, I am new to the business and would like to ask some questions. I will start off by washing parking lots at parts stores with a very heavy amount of oil stains. What type of cleaner, what to mix with and how much, and do you guys order online or buy locally? I have been reading for about a week and using the search feature and have learned a great deal already but am getting a little overwhealmed by all of the different types of chems and mixtures. If some of you guy's could help me I would really appreciate it. I live in Mississippi and my name is Chris. I look forward to hearing from you guy's.

You can buy most of your stuff local.

If its concrete a degreaser will help with the oils stains, check your epa rules for your area.

If its asphalt a good fleeting washing soap will do,again check your local epa rules.

Hotwater will be the best chemical you can buy for oil stains on concrete and asphalt.

LOL!! He means Hot Water... You may check out and get a can of steam, it works really well...

Just kidding, that doesn't exist either...

You need a Hot Water Pressure Washer if you want to make it in this industry. If you don't get it, you will be very very frustrated about 99.9% of the time.

Hot water works great on grease, oil, gum, paint, dirt, etc... With a cold water machine, there are many many chems out there that you can try, but they are going to be hit and miss and can be very expensive.

So, avoid the head aches and get a hot water unit.

I'm sorry,I've always look up on hotwater as beening a chemical,I mean a hotwater powerwasher...Welcome to the board

I'm sure you have a local powerwasher wholesaler that sales chemicals. You already have a fairly good ideal in what your wanting to do,stop by the wholesaler and ask. They will have a pretty good ideal in what you need in supplies and size of machine.Naming chemicals would be like looking at Sundays paper, its hard to say who has the best,we're still looking for it.

Mark of easy clean systems is a wholesaler on the board and has a toll free number you can call and ask,a old powerwasher himself.

I appreciate all the great replies, and hope to some day do this for a living, I'm just trying to learn as early as I can.
