What is the best thing to use on the concrete around a pool?

Since chlorine is most likely already present, that's the logical choice. It's what most of us in the south use anyway.

I ended up just using water. It all turned out looking great. There were a few little rust spots tht I could not get out. But besides that the guy was real happy with the work.

rust...........

Ive done 2 pools this summer and although the customer is usually happy with the results i always walk away upset at those rust stains that just wont come up. Anyone on the board have any luck with removing rust from a surface such as exposed aggregate etc? And no etching responses please as i have no business messing with that stuff [whatup]

Thanks for the responses...

Oxalic acid will diminish rust spots, however, if the surrounding areas are not nice & bright, you will need to treat all of the surface. It's not real great as a spot treatment. Your rusty spots will be nice white spots compared to what's around it.

One important thing to mention about oxalic, particularly since there are so many "younguns" on this bbs.....oxalic acid can cause sterilization. If you still want to reproduce, please please use the proper PPE when messing with the stuff.
