BIGBOY, i wanted a inground pool [like the rich folk] so i borrowed a back hoe, dug a hole 15x30, framed it out in 2x4 pressure treated , then sheathed it in pressure treated plywood,
ran a double 2x4 support from one side to the other on the bottom where the deep end starts.
Filled in the bottom with sand. Then used 1/4 inc pink panel insulation on top of the plywood and set in a pool liner.
That was 10 years ago. Have had no problems yet.
The tax man came by this year and i went and protested the pool as taxable because it considered removable[no cement] They had to take it back off.

Mel,when it gets full see if your man enough to go in first,ya want be as big as ya was before ya got in it,,Marks words will pop into brain as in nice & warm.

Its not nice to fool tax guys like that Ron but smart.

Here in Florida we enjoy the pool all year round. No children live in our development but they enjoy visiting. They have swimming exercises everyday to keep the old folks healthy. Anna:cool:

old folks healthy.

That should do it, it took me awhile to see the water level its so clear,I wouldn't know if I was jumping in on the ceiling or in the pool.I've heard of places like that, the only shade we get to swim under is a willow sticking out over the river which freezes over in the winter,it would be nice to be a OLD FOLK with good eye sight as your pool is to pretty to jump in on the ceiling.Give the cleaning guys a pat on the back,it looks great and refreshen.

Anna what OLD FOLKS?

You mean to say you never heard that aging makes things better, like good wine let it age and it mellows and is worth more too!

Now as for Bigboy wanting a cover for his pool now, seems you hurt his AK feelings:cool:

Out Door Pool

Hi Bigboy,
I like going to the outdoor pool where I can get a nice tan and show off my younger body. Not too many younger retires in here. They all look good for their age and are very active physically & mentally. Sitting with them I have learned alot about life & finances. Anna

Less not give away our secret "Sitting with them I have learned alot about life & finances",I love to set and listen to the older gen, most have been there done that.

I run around with the young crowd, most are 20,30 years younger then me,why I do not know, they are the ones that comes and hallowers come on lets go pa,lol.Altho I have several in their 70's I go as you say learn and ya better believe I do listen to them.

Tan.....sometimes I'm so Tan'd I could pass as a brother but the last 2 years I've kept my shirt on and now I could pass as a snowball, will not that bad lol.

That pool looks hummmm I could just jump in and forget about everything,it has gotten hotter blue blazes here now and that pool looks hummm. We're draining the pool today b/c the boys thought they could fill a bucket with water and make mud pies "hint bucket was about half full of dirt" when they waded in the pool to get their water. They are setting here now saying the other one did it,hopefully in time they'll learn to listen to the older folks as we do but sometimes I wonder about the younger folks as in was I dat way too,lol..C-ya

you can see the muddy water still around pool, wonder how long it'll take them to get mud in it again,,NEVER is what they are saying b/c I had them help me clean it out and it has took most of the morning
