There are plenty of other people that are "Head Liners" in this industry than me but thank you for the sentiment. I am just a guy in a van down by the river....

Its funny you say this. Carlos knows a little I've been working on and one of the people who approached me works for HBO and he took my info. Thats exactly what we were talking about... It could happen with the stories I heard about so many of you. It would be a winner.

The great thing would be to show how we are all true profesionals, the pride we take in our work, the before and after of a complete roof and house wash, patio, pool deck, driveway, etc etc both from our work and then a $99.00 house wash Hack City Pressure Washing special, or even show the contrast of our work vesus what a DIY'er would do w a HD Lows pw'er. Would love to see a show where a homeowner cleans his house, and then one of us comes behind and cleans the same house so people can see the difference between their work and our's.
Yes, lot's of things we could do w a show like this.

Travis I see a few stars in the making starting with John, Carlos, Doug, all the James on forum and you.
Would be very intresting to see it become a reality it would help the industry so much.

I totally agree Carlos. The public mainly sees a bunch of grown men playing with gasoline powered squirt guns, so to speak, and I think it would really shine a light on the industry. I mean there's alot that goes unseen by the public, ie...different techniques used/needed for different types of surfaces, chem selection and usage, safety measures, prep work...I could go on and on, but you know all that's involved that your average person doesn't.

Wait to you here about the bomb that fell on my lap.. its going to hit anyday now and it will be done by July 16th. Out of this there most definitely can be a Reality show. Soon its going to be on the net and man the idea's that can come out of it.. endless.

That's a great idea!
A friend of mine mentioned this exact idea a couple of weeks ago and I thought it would be great to have a show with guys working hard cleaning the worst possible stuff in the worst possible locations. I thought since we're in Canada it will probably only include guys from the US.
Around here we still have to wash in the dead of winter at -40° which adds some interesting challenges, especially to the equipment. I would be willing to offer myself as the guy who has to get the machine back up and running in the worst possible situation before the wash equipment, equipment being washed and operators all freeze up. I figured why not since I've had to do that more times than I care to remember, including getting rooftop AMU's running in car washes with a windchill of -52°F. But then I've also had to install equipment in the summer when it's 110°F, like last week. Getting pretty rough on a 50 year old.

Yup I think they can no doubt do a reality show within this industry. My idea originally was along the lines of what I announce about the Babe Ruth Tombstone. The HBO guy that I spoke to at a function I was at I was telling him that a good reality show would be to do famous and even some Infamous Tombstone cleaning and maybe tracking the families of these tombstones down to get some interesting tidbits. There are so many old tombstones of famous people that are neglected and even forgotten so that was my pitch.
But...... Maybe a better show would be to have a guy or gal or both do this show in this industry where they are Powerwashers and they now take on the task of going around the globe or wherever to do a week with a different Powerwasher within the industry that could be interesting and funny like Headpressure from Canada above all the way over to guys in Fla and all around.
Personally I would hate to do the show because public speaking and all that Jazz is not my thing. I could have one show do something on what we do...but that would be it...... How about Jen and Eric above be the host of a show like this if we can pitch it right..... Tony Shelton and Shelly come to mind..... who would be good to do this?? ...... Why do I feel Ron M. breathing down my back[spin]

It makes me wonder if we clean enough landmarks or locations that could generate enough general interest in a show all about pw. Obviously some national landmarks would be on the list. Planes would make an episode. Fleets.

The idea with this would be to do "Free" cleanings. Of course the stars of the show can make good money doing this but put a clause in there contracts that they kick some $$$$ back to the industry. We cleaned alot of wacked out stuff including powerwashing tree bark years ago--dont ask-- If you do the cleanings for free then the neat stuff will come rolling in.....and there you have your show.... there are some other idea's im sure others can come up with.
