Does anybody wash decks with a 8 gpm 3000 psi machine or is it to much volume? reason why I ask is I am currenlt using a 5 gpm 3000 psi and I am looking to buy an 8gpm to mount in my van. Will I do damage to the deck with this kind of volume or would I have to ajust the unloader everytime I go from washing a house to a deck?

We built our deck machine - 9.6 gpm's It's a beautiful thing :) We don't use any kind of pressure on wood ever but the volume for rinsing is fabulous!!

Its best to leave the unloader along and drop the psi with larger spray nozzels.

8 GPM will speed up your cleaning dramatically,
if all you are doing is decks you can get by with
lower pressure, if you are doing building washing
and or surface cleaning pressure and heat will be
helpful.

Give me a call I would be happy to discuss your
options with you. [hello]

We do wood with a 4 gpm machine so we don't have to carry a reserve tank. I've bwen behind the wand and sometimes it seems very slow. Do you get a flood of water/mud or does it even out becausee you are able to work that much faster? I am skeptical hat you could move twice as fast to compensate though. Whats been your experience (or Roger's) with that bad boy?

Ken,

The rinsing is incredible - the time it takes for that has dropped dramatically, the higher flow has actually decreased the amount of chems required to neutralize because of the better rinse capabilities.
