pre qualifing leads

Lets start a thread on questions we ask people when they call for an estimate. Do you have any sure fire questions that tell you if you have a 'hot' lead or a tire Kicker?

I generally ask:
1) what are you looking to have cleaned (siding, Deck, both, gutters, concrete around pool, driveway,...etc.)?
2) Is there a specific area that troubles you that I should be aware of? (cob webs, mold by vent, front porch)
3) I should be able to look at the job_____, if you are not home, do you have a problem w/ me looking at the job and geting back to you about a price and any questions I have about the job? (good time to find out if they have a pitbull)
4) all our estimates are given in writting. What is the best way to get it back to you? Mail, Fax, email?
5) when are you looking to get the work done? (saves me a trip out if they are looking to have it done this week so they can be 'weekend warriors' and paint this weekend).

Anybody have a script they go through?

Who has the best Question?

Thanks for the input, we are looking to have someone answer the phones and I want that person to get as much information as possible.

Tim

P.S. **REWARD** when I get this info - I'm going to develope our 'script'. When that is done I will post it.

How long did the Fire Department give you to correct this situation?
Why hasn't your old company rescheduled to keep your system clean?

This obviously is for exhaust duct cleaning.

Actually its Flue STEAM, but you can call me Grant.

The Fire Department is the enforcer of NFPA 96 or are they? No really they do...in some areas. Also for the last several years the County Health Department helps, but they are only concerned with what they can see (filters).

In Baker City they may want it cheaper, but in Los Angeles they want the cheapEST! Check on Tuesday? of which month!!

Hey, one of these days you David Saulque You and I need to have lunch. David's is about half way!
