I dont know if this is the proper place, but here it goes! I have pictures i'll send if you want.

Here's your chance to own a nice used pressure washer.

Whether you already have a business or looking to start one this washer is for you.

I didn’t have any luck getting the business going. I also bought new belts, and relief valve. Over $110 invested in that. You can also have my business name SUPER WASH if you want it.

The pressure washer sells new from Magnum Cleaning Systems for over $12,000.00!!!

Portability is its key asset with a 300 gallon water tank mounted on a heavy duty constructed double axle trailer. The trailer is equipped with two 3500lb axles and electric brakes.

It has two hose reels with 100' of high-pressure hose and 100' heavy duty water hose.

Other Features
*18 Hp Kohler Motor with electric start.
* General Pump Triplex Plunger
*Winco 2000 Watt Generator
*Flamelock Blower
*Kerosene Burner Providing up to 200 Degree Water
*3500psi @ 4.2gal a min

You get a wand, turbo nozzle, 40deg tip, chemical tip, two ladders, down stream chemical injection system.

The looks are a fine, come on guys it's a pressure washer, if you want a new unit go buy one, this is used and still working great. I have the manual and replacement stickers for the side, if you need them. I figure you’ll use this equipment and not look at it, but they’re here if you need them. It does have surface rust where the paint has chipped.

I'm just trying to get my payoff on the loan I had to pull to get it. I'm back in school and could use the money.

I had high hopes for my business but around here no one wants it done. Please give me a call if you need to ask some questions. (304) 552-7826

I would like $5500.00, yes thats all!

Thanks Guys...

What size and type (open, enclosed) of trailer?

$12k for a washer, a tank, a trailer, and a couple hose reels? Sounds like you got suckered by the "Go buy a REAL pressure washer" line.

Post some pics, or email them to me at oneness@gator.net and I'll post them.

Hey Matt,

I'm not looking to buy a rig but I'm in Germantown Maryland, swing by for a couple of days and I would be happy to help you get up and running... In West Virginia that is.

If you want to give it another shot and get back in the game let me know. I'm positive that I can teach you how to get up and running making a decent profit in a couple months tops.

Hey Matt...

I'm one that believes in school over work if you can do it... But if Henry is willing to help you out, you may want to take him up on it...

This is a hard business to survive in if you don't have a strong drive to sell and the motivation to get up in the morning to hit the pavement...

The work is easy, it is finding the work and conviencing the people that they need the work done that can be the hard part...

Again, if it is possible make school your first priority because it will pay off much more off in the future, but if you need the money I would take Henry up on his offer...

I wouldn't say the work is easy. I think some people get into this type of business and they think the work will be easy and then..........

Henry has a real generous offer on the table that you should at least consider.

Good Luck

Whether school will pay off better in the long run depends on many things...What field you're going to be going into, whether there will be a demand for that field in the future, etc etc. It also depends on how successful you can be with the washing business...The right person in the right area can make a whole hell of a lot more money washing than they could in many post-graduate careers.

As for this work being easy, some of it is...some of it is a PITA.

Hey Matt,

I am a newbie to this like yourself. I started it last year. Henry has given me invaluable advise with techniques, maarketing and customer service in the Pressure Washing service. I laughed when he told me to distribute magnets to everyone I dealt with... I thought it was odd when he told me to bid every aspect of a property that needs attention (Ie: biding on the deck, also do additional bids on house, rain gutters ect) Now I laugh when I make my bank deposit...

LOL Matt,

Your a riot but I do appreciate the comments...

I'm not some all knowing power washing guru but I have been in business for 15 years and I don't mind passing on tips or things that I've had to bust my butt in learning on to others.

I made a whole lot of mistakes getting to where I am not and I'm not looking to build my company any more than it is now. So I'm not really worried about competition, unless they start low balling me. Then, it's another matter. If you charge the same I do or even higher that's cool with me. I wouldnt mind raising my prices a bit so I can buy some more toys and give my guys another raise.

Henry-Just wanted to say I was just looking at your webpage, and that is awesome! One of the most well put together pieces I have seen in quite some time.

If you don't mind sharing your knowledge, I may have some questions for you about some commerical contracts, very soon.

Orange,
The work is EASY !!!!! I have my CPA, I worked my way through school in a variety of trades. I did factory work for quite a few years, when I was a kid my old man made me work @ the age of 8 !!!!! How can you make a statment that this work is easy........ WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WASH ?????? I cannot think of many more physically demanding industries...... Long hours, outside work and DIRT !!!!!! I will pay your expenses out to the Mid West, you work with me for a day and then let me know what part was "EASY"..... Looking forward to the lesson...

Mike (tired old man from easy work)

Thanks Jason,

My website is a work in progress..LOL I'm always playing around with it and right now I'm trying to figure out how to put a chat module on it. You know like the ones companies use for tech support? That way when clients are looking at the site and they have a question they can just ask. It's not going to be a ground breaking thing but just a new thing to mess with. My website has a LOT of pages in it that don't show up unless you follow a particular topic. I don't even remember how many pages I have now, I'm guessing maybe 30 or so.

Mike,

I'm not sure what type of cleaning your doing but some types of power washing aren't too bad. A lot of it depends on the equipment your using, how it's set up and what chemicals you use. Most of the time the chemicals do the work for you. Your just rinsing them off with a surface cleaner or a wand. I'm not saying it's easy by any means but it beats the hell out of being in the navy working on a flight deck or getting shot at.
That's what I used to do before starting my company..LOL

Power washing doesn't seem all that bad when I compare the two.

Henry,
Being an ex NAVY man myself and serving out in Beriut in the early 80's I can relate with you about those type of experiences........but........Since I started Powerwashing 9 yrs ago I find this business to be one of the most Physically demanding jobs that I ever had. Check that...It is the most physically demanding job I ever had.

So why then do I stay in this field....2 reasons....(1) I'm good at it and the pay is'nt bad at all (2)- I like the Cleaning process. Still my body hurts alot from doing this type of work. This is where I wouldn't say its easy because its very TOUGH on me physically. THis is coming from a guy who played contact sports growing up such as Ice-Hockey,Football and wrestling.

Also just the Drive alone to succeed in this business is tough. The more I think about it everything about this business is tough except for when I recieve the Money. Now thats easy:)

I think the biggest problem I've had in this industry and the other types of work I do is my hands. I've had problems with carpel tunnel syndrome from sing the guns, hammers and even caulk guns. Problems with my knees from climbing ladders all the time. Then I started having problems with my ankles from working on roofs with steep pitches..lol I guess I'm falling apart at the old age of 36. I've been doing this kind of work for 15 years now.
I ended up hiring more people so that I could retire myself and work more in the office and other things I'm interested in.
My doctor keeps pushing cortozone shots and wants me to wait to have the surgery due to some other complications.

See, the job is easy, it's just me that's falling apart..LOL

I never meant for anyone to think that I was saying they didn't work hard. It just beats other types of work that I've done before.

Henry,
We wash everything... Mainly we are fleet washers. I use the best of everything (Chems, Equip.). We wash over 6,000 trucks per week. I know there is some gravy out there but for the most part it is tough..... Living in Michigan the weather "sucks" most of the year. My old bones hate the cold.

Tell me more...

Henry,
How much would it cost me for you help. Business would be great! I need the money for college, thats the reason im selling it (and it wont sell). Of course I can't get any business either so either way it's not working.

I tried several things:
Paper Ads
Business Cards
Paper Fliers
Door To Door
and some others.

Honestly I don't have time to go out and get anything done while in college, so i would much rather sell it.
I really did pay $5500.00 for it 3 months ago, and didn't even get to use it!
I put new belts, and new pressure valve.
I have it on ebay right now..

EBAY PRESSURE

There should be business around here everywhere but I dont guess they want me to do it!

Thanks,
Matt

Pretty complete looking set-up you've got, nice!

Nice pussy in that one shot too, lol.

Anyways-my best luck has come from honestly pulling it behind me places, people stop and ask me questions. I'm also sticking with commercial..alot more repetition with them, opposed to residential...and, usually pay alot better from my experience.

Hey Matt,

First of all, I don't charge anything for helping out someone..
Give me a call at home in the evening and let's see what your doing, have done and are interested in doing in the future. Every area has a need. We just have to figure out what your areas need is.
