Chris they are so many price differents in fleets its unbelieveable, the best would be check at a local truckwash to get a better picture of pricing in your area. Some get 50/40 30/25 20/15 and some get as little as 8 dallors for a tractor(big rig).Even the trailers run the same way in pricing, check your local pricing.Yes some do work under contracts and some do not, depends.

I always run anti freeze through my machine at the end of the day if its going to freeze at night. I have a open trailer rig. During the day if its still freezing with wind chill etc. I will put the end of the hose in my water tank and let it run as I drive.

Also in real bad weather as in a hard freeze you can tarp the trailer and place a electric heater under it.

If you do that make sure there is still anti freeze in it. I tarped and heated my trailer once with no antifreeze and spent the ENITRE next day cleaning out ice!!!

Chris yes, I leave the engine running and let the water circulate as I drive if am worried about the unit freezing between jobs. Just make sure there is no way the hose can come out of the tank.

As far as pricing goes....you have to figure out what you want to make. Each job depends on how you do it. Do you raise the hood, do you wash paint and tires only, do you wash inside the frame rails. I shoot for at the very least $150 per hour. Lets say only wash the paint and tires at one place. You can do each truck in ten minutes. Thats six trucks per hour at 25 per truck. It all depends on your area as well. Another factor is how often you wash the trucks. If you only wash once a month, the trucks will be much dirtier than twice a month which takes you longer which means you will need to charge more. Like Larry said, check local prices like at the truck washes and so on. Where I come from, 25 per truck is extremely low considering overhead(chemicals, fuel, driving time, taxes, insurance, etc) and what not.

Come on man, He means check them out, do research on them. He is talking about stationary truck washes.
Where are you located Chris, depending on that I may be able to help out a lot more than I am.

RLS,seen your last post, thats what I have been doing for the last few days is research in my area. The going rate on tractors, $14.00 to $35.00 trailers $14.00 to $25.00. The differance is on the bottom end the company has about 50 to 75 tractors and about 100 trailers. As for the trucks that were on the upper end the company had about 5 to 10 tractors and as many trailors.Did not find out weither they had sleepers or not on the 50 to 75 fleet or if they two step or if the use a brush.
